Eight economic series covering nominal GDP, GDP per capita, GNI per capita, trade as a share of GDP, foreign direct investment, foreign reserves, remittances received and container port traffic.

Several of these are ratios to GDP, and they behave in ways that surprise. Foreign direct investment reached 1,709.83% of GDP in the Cayman Islands in 2015 and −391.56% in Luxembourg in 2022, because what is being counted is money passing through holding companies rather than investment in factories. Read these as a map of which economies act as conduits for capital, not of which economies attract it.
