Eight series on the production and consumption of energy: coal and oil production, hydro, nuclear, solar and wind generation, primary energy consumption, and the renewable share of electricity.

Read together they show a century in which the centre of production moved from the North Atlantic to the Asia-Pacific. China climbed from 13th to 1st in coal and produces 52.7% of the 26-country total in 2024. Solar and wind tell an entirely different story: all 30 countries read 0.00 TWh in 1965, and the first value above zero is Denmark's 0.01 TWh in 1979.
