Eight rankings built from FAO statistics via Our World in Data: cereal, rice, wheat, coffee bean, cocoa bean and milk production, capture fisheries, and meat supply per person.

Units and basis matter in agricultural series. Rice production is measured as paddy (unmilled), and milling cuts the weight by roughly a third, so these figures do not line up with milled-basis numbers found elsewhere. Meat "supply" is a food-balance figure — production plus imports minus exports — which includes waste and is not what was actually eaten. And coffee trees alternate heavy and light crops, so major producers swing sharply year to year.
